Insurance Bonds

An insurance bond is an investment option offered by life insurance companies in the form of a whole life or term life insurance policy. Insurance bonds best suit investors who use them for estate planning or who are interested in long-term investing. There are tax advantages for higher income earners if the investment is held for at least 10 years and certain conditions are met.

Exchange Traded Funds (ETF)

Are funds that are bought and sold on a stock exchange, much like ordinary shares. ETFs combine the advantages of a managed fund, with the ease and cost effectiveness of share trading. ETFs can be used for access to markets and asset classes that you might not otherwise have access to, such as currency, debt, commodities and derivatives.

SMA’s

An SMA is an investment vehicle composed of stocks, bonds, cash or other individual securities overseen by a professional money manager. The unique structure of an SMA provides the flexibility to customize the portfolio to address clients' personal preferences and investment objectives. This portfolio is private, which means the assets it contains are not co-mingled with other investors, and it is separately managed. Its separate status allows an SMA manager to customize the portfolio according to its investor’s goals and preferences. SMA investors own all the securities in the account, and they directly negotiate the fees with the account manager.
